Valve flies in L4D2 haters into Seattle, wins hearts
Valve’s flown a couple of Left 4 Dead 2′s most vocal opponents up to Seattle to let them play the game. Result – they now like it.
“What we can say with confidence is that the quality of gameplay in Left 4 Dead 2 is not in question; and it will only get better,” said turncoat petition-signer, Walking_Target.
Mr Target is now facing the inevitable “truth”. He’s been bought.
“No, we didn’t pay for flights or hotels, and we are fully aware of how that looks,” he said in response to the wearisome reaction.
“However, anybody who has had to spend more than two hours in an airplane can tell you it’s no treat.”
Poor lad. Remember the first rule. Game’s good, huh?

I bet that just as those two walked into valves offices they were confronted by a stupidly awesome cat that just looked up from its slumber as if to say “Yeah that’s right. I’m a cat. Meow”. From then on they were doomed.

Yeah, I thought the problem was that it was so soon at full game price rather than the presumption that it just wasn’t good. I’m pretty certain there was no question about the quality of the game in the first place.

They never said they hated L4D2 they just thought L4D needed more attention before L4D2 came out, that was the main reason. They always said they wouldnt judge L4D2 until they played it.
