God I just love the constant time-consuming, expensive process of upgrading/configuration/hardware incompatabilities/being alone and friendless in a box room that is the GLORIOUS domain of PC gaming.

Who on earth would want to simply pop a disc in a tray and play? Not me, that’s not nearly elitist enough for my liking.

My dad’s new PC is quad-core. He uses it for browsing the internet.

And probably the RAM as well.

While you’re there you might as well go all the way and get a new hard drive and graphics card…

Of course, you’ll need to get a new PSU to power all of these high powered new things without your PC crashing every 20 minutes…

Then you may finally have a rig good enough to play this game.

And when you’re bored of Operation Flashpoint…?

Well… There’s always The Sims!

Gadzooks, you sound like your typical no-nothing pc ignorant console gamer. hardware replacement is something you have to worry about maybe once every 2 years. And with all the money we save buying our games 10-20 quid cheaper than console gamers uupgrading isn’t as expensive as you seem to think as long as you approach it intelligently and realistucally – i.e. not the manner you appear to be.

In my experience the issue of hardware incompatibilities is entirely non-existant. But yo, who cares if a problem is only experienced by the extreme minority, down with pc gaming!

“Gadzooks, you sound like your typical no-nothing pc ignorant console gamer.”

I’ll take that as a compliment.

I don’t get why enjoying PC gaming is elitism, horses for courses.

It isn’t.

But belittling other gamers as ‘kids with toys’ is!
