LOL!!! You can celebrate whatever you like with us! It’s all about beer and burgers anymore anyway. Most people don’t know what the real reason is anymore.
Edit: Oh yeah, and fireworks and swimming.

Had a good bit of fun with The Punisher last night. Looks smart and for a bot based single player game with online co-op and a multiplayer component, the price is great.
The game itself isn’t going to tear anyone away from CoD or Killzone 2, but if you’re a Punisher fan, it is great to play against all the Punisher characters.
The multiplayer is heavily focussed around killing sprees and upgrades, in that the more enemies you kill in succession, the more your weapon upgrades, but then anyone who kills a well upgraded opponent gets a huge upgrade themselves. In the few online games I had of it last night, the system worked rather well, and we got a few good games going.
The omission of a map is pretty odd and does make games with low numbers drag, and the AI in single player is no great shakes, but it does get the job done.
So yeah, as predicted it’s nothing that’s going to turn the genre on it’s head, or in all honesty stand out from the other countless mp arena battles, but it’s a nice distraction none the less, and if you’re a Punisher fan it’s absolutely worth the £6.49 price of entry.
