Suda – No More Heroes needs a “new platform”

Suda51′s told Edge that No More Heroes needs to move past Wii if it’s to flourish.
“I really want to make NMH a big franchise,” he said, “and with this second episode have bigger success. I’m putting a lot of care into developing this IP, as I feel there’s a lot of potential.
“I think this is the last NMH that is going to be developed on Wii,” he added. “To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we’ve done everything we can with it now.”
Now look at this. Good news for 360 and PS3 owners, no doubt.

It was originally planned as a 360 game to begin with, according to Suda himself in an Edge interview a few months back.

Not surprised…..
Theres only so far you can stretch an overclocked Gamecube with near 10year old innards…..

Did the games even sell well on Wii?

I think they did ok on the Wii, I’m certainly looking forward to some HD NMH though.

I hope it’s not 360 exclusive! I’d like some odd Suda51 games!

Wasn’t he supposed to be working on a PS3 exclusive? And something 360/PS3 flavoured for EA, too.

I’ve always said that this game was mine as soon as it came out on PSN. Surely, the game can’t be so large.

I seriously doubt it’ll be a downloadable if/when it does come. Wii games come on DVDs too, y’know. And they don’t have hi-def textures.

If Warhawk and Gran Turismo Prologue can be downloadable, I’m rather sure this game can. I’m hoping this is true because I get the feeling if it was downloadable, it would be cheaper. I suppose I would have a hard time paying $60 for an old Wii game.

I don’t even care what platform this goes to — wherever Suda goes, I am going, too.
