Qore subs to get Uncharted 2 beta access on June 3

And it’s true we don’t ahve numbers on second controllers. It’s just a lot more obvious to have co-op splitscreen to people, than to get Wi-fi set up on the PS3.

And that doesn’t even take into account that if you don’t have Wifi, that the Ethernet cable will ahve to reach the PS3.

Internet just brigns alot of complications, that a second controller don’t. And peopler are aware of two player splitscreen.

Just remember, not everyone is us. Not everyone is online.

Same argue, I hasten to add, the same goes for me, not everyone has a second controller. But it’s MUCH more likely they do.

You need a bigger TV Gamoc, worked fine for me!

In 2P it’s still not SD quality for either screen!

Pud – i think i mentioned it, but i played Gears 2 spit screen on my bro’s 52 inch, i didnt like it. You are still limited on what you see.

Split screen is last gen, it was there because there was NO online…

@Seraphemz I don’t know, I have no clue what you said, the names got mixed up in my mind when I was reading through the comments.

@No_PUDding I played it on our (somewhere around 50″) TV downstairs in split screen and it’s still pretty hard to play it properly. Then again, Warhawk is pretty much a game that yells ‘MASSIVE FUCKING MAPS’, so it’s not ideal for split screen anyway.

@Seraphemz (again), you can’t pay for it, you need an American bank account/credit card or PSN card, otherwise I would’ve subscribed to Qore a long time ago.

I found some survey results for internet usage of consoles in Japan. Not very useful admittedly but it’s interesting.

Wii
55.4 percent online (June 2007)
52.5 percent online (December 2007)

PS3
56.3 percent online (June 2007)
43.9 percent online (December 2007)

Xbox 360
49 percent online (June 2007)
49.1 percent online (December 2007)

Of those machines connected to the internet in Japan, here’s the percentage that play games online.

Wii: 17.3 percent
PS3: 41.1 percent
Xbox 360: 70.8 percent

I wish I could find the US equivalent. I’ve seen it, but google is failing me.

that sucks. Its a pretty decent online mag… too bad 60% of ps3 owners never even seen it…shame.

It’s Japan, though. That’s probably still a lot more PS3s online than 360s.

So i was pretty much spot on in the country that boasts some of the best and most accessible internet connection in the world.

Smaller accomodation, easier to get your ethernet cable where you want it too!

With quite a small hardcore userbase (in 2007). Early adopters would be especially aware of it’s capabilities.

But I shall stop talking now. I do love splitscreen a lot! But I will be happy with online co-op too. Hopefully Bleak will buy it, so we can go play.

I’ve found NPD stats for 13-17 year old gamers. Not console specific, but the March 2009 survey puts online gaming in that age bracket at 22% of gamers (up from 17% the year before).

When looking at all ages, 57% of gamers play online, with 87% of those using a PC to do so.

Firstly, I *never* suggested you stop talking about something. You’re jumping straight into the victim mentality there. I stated some common sense by saying that if you genuinely wanted something done then you should speak to the people that can do something about it. If anything I encouraged you to talk more, not less.

Secondly, providing anecdotal evidence does not make your views any more factual or any less subjective.

Thirdly, putting the word “Factually” at the start of a sentence doesn’t automatically make the claim following it factual.

My point is that it’s not about my preference, in that there aren’t many people hooked up to the internet on their PS3′s.

Splitscreen extends longevity for a larger majority than online does.

Qore is pretty poor, it’s the sort of stuff they used to put on coverdisks as a selling point.
