With the way people talk about the consoles though, you’d have thought Sony were way more than 30% down. It doesn’t seem too far fetched to think that a major push and price cut this year could start pulling them back into the game

Also what was all that garbage people were talking about when the ps3 was released. The gpu on the 360 is more powerful. Hello where is KZ2 equal on the 360 and don’t say gears2 lol. Gears2 was a notch up from gears1 just like motorstorm 2 was from MS1.

$100 for ps1 and ps2
$100 for card readers/wifi/60gb HDD
$200 for ps3
$200 for Blu-ray

to tech heads yea it was worth it.
to sony loyalist yea it was worth it.
to gamers yea it was worth it
to ppl trying to make a profit on ebay it was worth it.

And you talk about lair, a game that was designed when the ps3 first came out. How come ninja gaiden had so many frame rate issues. It was made by a guy who always said he likes working on the best hardware (yea right). Now onto the infamous “TOO HUMAN” i think a lot of people would choose lair over that crap. And now to the big boys Halo3 vs MGS4. yea enough said. MGS4 was a better game than your precious halo. Just so you know, there are many of us on this site that own more than one machine, and purchase games for them and enjoy them for their own merits, regardless of what platform they run on.

I didn’t say the 360 wasn’t good. also you big shot money making euros could have imported an american ps3. The games are region free and all of you worship american films anyway, so you could buy blu-rays off of amazon. I have the 20gb and the 60gb (the true ps3). I can play all the gran turismos and final fantasies (on ps systems)on one system.

As for the 360 being good yea for the reasons below:

1. To scare your neighbors into thinking you are building a rocket in your living room

2. Extra Christmas lights when you get the RROD

3. To catch ghost like a ghost buster with the 360′s power brick

4. To roast marshmallows with the heat it produces.

5. To see green shit cover your tv screen

6. To have a 3 year warranty on something

7. To help pedophiles (psychobitch) find 13 year old boys while evading NBC Dateline To catch a Predator

8….To catch predators (psychobitch)

9. To play easy burned games on the affordable DVD format with a modded system (saves money in bad economy )

and 10. The CONSOLE FLAME WARS… making every day nerds like you guys, some one.

As I understand it, and Kotaku says the same, Sony’s figures for console sales are for actual sales to consumers, whereas Microsoft’s figures are sold to retail.

These are their sold to retailer numbers from Q3 of their financial year ending March 2009.

They used to record these figures as production shipments (shipped to warehouse) but changed it to sold to retailers as of June 2007 (the same method Nintendo and MS use).
