Amazing what a bit of religious controversy can do. As you can see here, LittleBigPlanet is now changing hands on eBay for up to $140 following Sony’s decision to recall the game.
Media Molecule’s platformer had already shipped to retailers before a problem with lines from the Qur’an being included in one of the title’s background tracks cause a pull-back.
Off you go, then. Get yourself a genuine, bona fide rarity, should you feel the need.

Who would pay that much for it?
(I wonder if there will be a forced patch)

@Syrok: The people who got offended of course,…so they can rub with some gasoline, throw it in the air as fast as they can, and shoot it with a flaming arrow.

I wonder if this version will be playable online or have access to updates ?
It’s going to be a completely different build so my thoughts would be no ?

There’s a zero day patch ready, infact that’s pretty much all MM wanted to do. But Sony went a bitt crazy and went for the full recal.

Indeed, a day 0 patch has been confirmed, so unless its sent and recived in under a week (and it wont), they’ve pretty much bought 140$ copy of LBP, that’ll be out in the shops by the time its on their doorstep at normal price.

My copy was sent yesterday morning, so I’ll have it tomorrow. Some shops here in Norway didn’t care that it has been called back, so they just sold it anyway.
I’ve also seen a few other guys on my friends list already playing it.

There’ll probably quiet a few shops who will sell it anyway.
