Insiders “sure” Diablo III will be announced on Saturday
Speaking under conditions of anonymity, a senior UK development source has claimed today that the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational game announcement Rob Pardo alluded to in Paris this morning is definitely Diablo III.
A second, highly-placed European source has also just told us that they are “sure” that Diablo III will be revealed on Saturday afternoon at the event.
If true, the internet will snap. Blizzard’s been teasing all week on the game and speculation, to say the least, is running hot.
We’ll be there, God willing. We should probably book a hotel and a flight soon.

Related to the thread… I played and completed Diablo 2 and until very recently I didn’t actually know that online was worth playing.

I have been waiting for YEARS for this moment. I know I have logged at least 300 hours on D, D2, and D2:LOD over the years. I hope they don’t really change anything except boost the graphics. Let me restate that, I hope they make it as good as possible and add new cool stuff, but I def want the 2/3 top-down view to remain.
I love that franchise. I reaaaaaally hope it is D3!

I really… really hope there’s a strong single player mode to it. I spent too much time playing WoW to ever want to get into an online RPG again.
