New Conduit shots released, make Wii sweat

High Voltage has put out some proper screens of Wii shooter The Conduit – as seen on WiiFanboy – showing guns shooting things. We’re not quite sure this is the graphical leap it was supposed to be, but there we are. Take a look.

Things look pretty bad close up. It’s not even as nice as Metroid.

Regardless of graphics, it’s nice to see an original FPS game come out for the Wii. I know many people fell out with it, but I loved Red Steel. I still return to it for the odd blast, so I’m looking forward to more polished examples of the genre appearing on the Wii.

I agree, not as nice looking as Metroid, but it’s definitely better looking than that Medal of Honor game and most of the other FPS stuff the Wii has been “treated” since its launch.

If they actually make a decent game – nail the controls; varied objectives; good level design, story and enemy AI – then I certainly don’t see anything there that actually puts me off.
