Rockstar sent out an email this evening to all those in the UK scheduled to receive their copies of GTA IV this week, asking them to provide information on which platform they’d prefer to play on and their online IDs.
Update: The email we published yesterday has been removed at Rockstar’s request.

I just find it tiresome and petty. I grew out of this “mine is better than yours” shit years ago mate. I’m an educated gamer and I know what systems I own and the reasons I invest in them.
If the thread had been about the PS3 vs 360 then fair enough, it’s the fact that some gamers have to bring up the format war in every bloody comment section that I find boring.
You’re clearly busting to go 100 rounds with a PS3 fan of similar conviction, and hey, go right ahead, I actually find them entertaining as hell. All I’m saying is, it gets boring when a handful of individuals feel the need to turn every comments section into the same old thing.
Up to now I’ve seen the VG 247 comments as how Eurogamers’ were before they became a fanboy zoo, it’d be a shame to see this place go the same way.
