Criterion: No more Black “any time soon”
They probably get bored of saying it, but according to Burnout Paradise lead designer Craig Sullivan in the latest edition of D-Pad, Criterion isn’t working on a sequel to shooter Black and isn’t planning one in the near future.
“Sorry to disappoint you, but as we’ve mentioned many times on our podcast we’re not looking at making another Black game any time soon,” he said. “Although the rumours never seem to go away and we still get a lot of letters from fans, we’re honestly not working on that game at the moment. I doubt the rumours will go away though.”
FPS Black “shot” to fame as Criterion’s “other game” in the last console generation. Sounds as though you can give up waiting for any more for now.

I thought it was poor anyway, sure the destruction looked pretty but it was really boring to play.

Not sure who he thinks is disappointed; Black was rubbish.

I only played the first bit. It’s number 567 on my list of games I’m going to go back and play.
