The 3rd Birthday confirmed for December release in Japan

Square Enix has just announced at Sony's TGS event it's releasing The 3rd Birthday on December 22 in Japan.

The date was shown at the end of a trailer of the PSP title, which was blacked out of Sony's online stream.

Square's Shinji Hashimoto confirmed a costume of Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII will be added to the game as DLC as a cross promotion between Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy and 3rd Birthday.

The game, a Parasite Eve spin-off, was first confirmed for a 2010 release by Square president Yoichi Wada.

A winter 2010 release in Japan, and a 2011 international release was further confirmed by producer Yoshinori Kitase, speaking to VG247 in Germany at gamescom.
