Study: UK developers conflicted over the future of console and PC games

A survey conducted with over 80 UK game studios by e-skills, a UK skills council for business and information technology, found 24 percent were of the opinion console gaming would decline over the next year, and 42 percent believed PC games were in regression. On the other end of the poll, 32 percent expected the console side of things would increase, with 20 percent expecting an in increase for the PC game sector. While the figures concluded are a bit discrepant from one another, 89 percent were of the opinion that the demand for social and mobile games would mount, and 88 percent believed casual gaming interest would also continue to accelerate. Of those polled, not one surveyed felt the demand for casual or mobile titles would decrease. Thanks, Develop.
