Microsoft shows Forza 4, announces DC2 tracks and Happy Wars at TGS 2011

Microsoft has sent out information detailing what it showed during TGS 2011 today, and while you already know about Breakneck, a remake of the classic Halo 2 map Headlong for Halo: CE Anniversary, other goodies were revealed as well.

First off, the firm showed Forza Motorsport 4, where Turn 10 Studios revealed four Japanese tracks – Motegi, Fujimi Kaido, Tsukuba and Suzuka – would be included in the game when it launches on October 11 North America, and October 14 in Europe. Other regions will see the title on shelves October 20.

MS also announced seven new tracks for Harmonix's Dance Central 2, which upon release, will be part of the 40-plus songs in total on disc:

  • Mary J. Blige – Real Love
  • Chingy – Right Thurr
  • Missy Elliott – Get Ur Freak On
  • Kevin Lyttle – Turn Me On
  • New Boyz – You’re A Jerk
  • Armanni Reign – Reach
  • Remy Ma – Conceited (There’s Something About Remy)

Kinect Sports: Season Two was showcased, and gamplay for Baseball as well as the debut of Downhill Skiing the new Challenge Play mode were demoed.

"TGS is about marking the Xbox commitment to Japan, which is home to some of the most legendary games creators in our industry," said Microsoft in a statement. "One of the most important aspects of the Xbox business in Japan is the relationship with our third-party development houses, and the news from those creators is plentiful."

Last year at TGS, MS announced five titles from Japanese creators, and today it revealed that Happy Wars, a new title from Toylogic, will be coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade. A demo of Project Draco from Grounding was also shown for the first time to media behind closed doors, and Diabolical Pitch from Grasshopper Manufacture, and Haunt from NanaOn-Sha, are playable at Microsoft’s booth.

Diabolical Pitch will be released on Xbox LIVE Arcade next year.
