Remedy and 505 Games have entered into a new partnership, through which the publisher will fund development of the next game from the makers of Alan Wake, Max Payne, and Quantum Break.

505 games is investing €7.75 million ($8.45 million) into the game's development, due for release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The unannounced project, codenamed P7, is a new IP built with the Northlight engine. This the engine Quantum Break is based on, the same one Remedy ported to PS4 earlier this year.

The new game is a described as a cinematic third-person action game set in a new universe. Interestingly, the press release describes P7 as having the deepest game mechanics yet in a Remedy game.

No other details about the project, or when we expect to hear more, were shared.
