GDC 2011 day two bulletin – everything you need to know

See how there's so much GDC-based videogames news on the internet it's basically impossible to know what you should be reading and shouldn't? It's dead simple: read this.

Day two of GDC has now wrapped, and the star of the show, Battlefield 3, failed to disappoint.

Here are all the major stories from the second day of this year's GDC. Here's the bulletin from the first day. Read these every day and you'll be up to speed with all the show's major events. See how that works?

  • Battlefield 3 gameplay was shown at the EA offsite event. We have full details, a knock-out movie and screenshots here.
  • Minecraft developer Mojang has announced its next game. It's a card-based strategy thing called Scrolls. There's no release date.
  • Sucker Punch's "big secret" was a level-creation suite for inFamous 2. Shots and a movie here.
  • EA Shadows of the Damned and Alice: Madness Returns will both launch in June.
  • Crysis 2's PS3 multiplayer demo will release in two weeks. The test has already hit 360 and PC.
  • EA Partners GM David DeMartini has moved out of his role, to be replaced by Brian Neider. DeMartini is to now head up EA's e-commerce division.
  • PlayStation Home's been downloaded 19 million times. The MMO-lite is also about to get multiplayer tools for action games.
  • Paradox has announced Magicka: Vietnam. The PC guys have melted over this.

That's all the big stuff. Watch our GDC tag for everything coming out of the show, and keep it locked for Iwata's keynote, which takes place at 5.00pm GMT today.
