Fake Amiibo figures spotted

If you're in the market for new Amiibos, make sure you don't fall for the fake ones.

In a move that should surprise no one ever, counterfeit Amiibos have started appearing looking to prey on unsuspecting customers. So far, Mario, Link, Pikachu, and Samus Amiibos were spotted.

The toys themselves generally appear to look close to the real thing, but upon closer inspection, the differences start to pile up. The packages are not the same, which is good for anyone that knows what they're looking for, but not so good for people out of the loop.

The counterfeit toys do not contain NFC chips, according to InfoAmiibo. Take a look:
