The Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers launch trailer takes a walk on the dark side.
Last night’s Square Enix E3 show was a Final Fantasy extravaganza. But while remakes stole the show, series MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 is still going strong.
FF14 game director Naoki Yoshida took the stage to reveal the launch trailer for the game’s next expansion, Shadowbringers. The trailer gives us a sweeping, desaturated look at what, where and why we’re fighting this time, and delivers some juicy story hints.
For those who’ve been following FF14 closely, it also drops a bit of a post-credits bombshell.
The expansion arrives with two new playable races, ups the level cap to 80, nine new dungeons and brings that NieR: Automata crossover raid.
Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers launches July 2, with preorder access opening up on June 28.
