The Quiet Man won’t be so “quiet” after an update is released

A free update for The Quiet Man will be released post-launch and it will include sound.

Square Enix announced it will add a new mode to The Quiet Man which adds sound to the game.

Players can expect it to be released one week after the game is made available on digital stores.

The update adds sounds and speech and will be unlock upon finishing the first playthrough, according to Square’s Japanese livestream (via Games Talk, thanks Gematsu).

Most of the game is inaudible, as it lacks speech and sound due to Dane being deaf.  Other than sound effects when engaging in fisticuffs, the game is silent.

The Quiet Man’s story takes place during a single night. As deaf protagonist Dane, players will try to solve the mystery of why nightclub singer Lala was kidnapped.

The Quiet Man is a short, compact gameplay experience which will last around three hours.  The PC and PS4 title will run you $14.99 or the regional equivalent.

Players will search for the culprit, the Masked Man, and encounter his rough acquaintances along the way. Dane will need to piece together clues based on each character’s actions instead of words.

The Quiet Man is due out for PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store and PC via Steam on November 1.
