Jeff Goldblum to guide players through Jurassic World Evolution as franchise favorite Dr. Ian Malcolm

If you needed a reason to pick up Jurassic World Evolution other than rampaging dinosaurs, here it is folks.

Jurassic World Evolution studio Frontier Developments and Universal Studios today announced Jeff Goldblum will play the role of Dr. Ian Malcolm in the upcoming video game.

Day freaking one.

In the video below, Goldblum announces his inclusion as Dr. Ian Malcolm, the character who first appeared in 1993’s Jurassic Park.

Announced during the Microsoft E3 2017 conference, Jurassic World Evolution tasks players with operating Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands. Here, they will build their own Jurassic World by bioengineering new dinosaur breeds, construct attractions, containment and research facilities, and try to keep T-Rex confined, apparently.

Every choice made by the player will form a specific path and respective challenges. The game also focuses on "key characters" and events across the Jurassic World film franchise.

As Dr. Ian Malcolm, Goldblum will guide players through "moral choices and tactical decisions," as they attempt to run their very own Jurassic World.

Goldblum will also reprise the role of Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, set to arrive in theaters this June.

Jurassic World Evolution releases this summer on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
