Injustice 2: Robin gameplay trailer debuts, Boon promises more obscure characters this time

Injustice 2 players can take Damian Wayne for a spin, or alternately kick his little punk ass. You are free to make up your own mind.

An Injustice 2 livestream event debuted Robin gameplay today.

Rather than watch the whole Injustice 2 stream replay, here’s the Robin trailer, courtesy of IGN. Given the dialogue, it sounds like this is the Damian Wayne version of Robin, but I may be wrong; I long ago gave up trying to keep track of DC continuity.

In other Injustice 2 news, NetherRealm boss Ed Boon said during the livestream that the sequel will include more obscure characters than the greatest hits roster we got in Injustice: Gods Among Us.

He also confirmed that beta codes for Injustice 2 are being mailed out now, so remember to check your spam folders – and don’t sleep on signing up if you haven’t already.

Injustice 2 releases in May for PS4 and Xbox One. No PC build this time, which is disappointing, but Warner Bros. has had a rough run with PC ports over the past few years.

As with the first game, Injustice 2 is all about DC characters beating each other up, for a variety of reasons. The general critical consensus seems to be the first one did a better job of it than the Batman vs Superman film, although the way the Internet talks about that movie it seems like rotten cheese could outdo it.
