There were murmurings about a 20th anniversary remaster just a couple of weeks ago, accompanied by a handful of leaked screenshots, and it turns out that the rumour was on the nose.

The original designers of Duke Nukem 3D - Allen Blum III and Richard “Levelord” Gray - have been reunited with composer Lee Jackson and the voice of Duke Nukem, Jon St. John for a new episode featuring eight levels, all-new music and a slew of snappy one-liners.

Commentary by the original dev team can be accessed in-game, and you'll have the option to toggle between the 1996 graphics engine and the "high fidelity and blistering frame rate using Gearbox’s all-new 'True3D Rendering' mode."

Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary Edition World Tour is slated for release on October 11 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
