Nvidia drivers for Overwatch are now live. Here’s how to get the most from your GPU.
Now that Overwatch has gone live all across the world, plenty of players will be logging in later today after work and school.
If you’re on PC, make sure to download the latest Nvidia GeForce drivers, which Nvidia released yesterday to go with the game. The drivers, version 368.22, are WHQL and not beta.
Nvidia says they bring performance optimisation and SLI support. You can download them through here.
How to update your Nvidia drivers
Updating your Nvidia drivers to better run Overwatch is super-simple. First, head over to the driver section of Nvidia’s website and input your graphics card details to make sure you get the right download. If you aren’t sure of the exact identity of your graphics card, just hit “Auto-Detect Your GPU” at the bottom of the page (warning: you’ll need Java installed for this to work, for some reason).
To manually find out what graphics card’s in your PC on Windows 10, go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager. Click on the arrow next to Display Adapters and you’ll see the name of your graphics card. Put the relevant details into the input fields on the site, and you’ll be given a list of the appropriate Nvidia drivers. Click on the most recent release, then on Agree and Download. Your download will start immediately.
Once it’s finished clicked on the download in the bottom of your browser. Follow the instructions, and your new Nvidia drivers will be installed. Happy Overwatching.
