Here’s a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain straight out of gamescom 2015.
According to the trailer, it’s “the end of an era” and “some wars don’t end until someone is dead.”
It makes a bit of sense, considering Hideo Kojima said back in March The Phantom Pain closes “the loop” on the Metal Gear saga.
“With Metal Gear Solid 5, I’m finally closing the loop on that saga,” he said at the time. “In that sense, this will be the final Metal Gear Solid.
“Even if the Metal Gear franchise continues, to me, this is the last Metal Gear.”
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will release simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One September 1 and pre-orders on Steam net Ground Zeroes for free.
Metal Gear Online will release October 6 on consoles, and on PC to January 2016.
