According to industry insiders, Warner Bros. will soon be competing with Activision and Disney in the lucrative toys-to-life market.

An industry source speaking to Videogamer said that Lego publisher Warner Bros. is working on a toys-to-life game that will release later this year.

A set of Lego figures are said to be launching alongside the main game, in development at Traveller's Tales, developers of the many Warner-published Lego games.

The publisher declined to comment when contacted by Videogamer.

For those unfamiliar, toys-to-life refers to the genre currently occupied by Activision's Skylanders and Disney's Disney Infinity games. The games are aimed mainly at children and require the purchase of toys alongside a copy of the game.

While that particular genre is rarely covered by mainstream games media, it is making both publishers quite a lot of money that Warner must've wanted in on with its well-established Lego license.
