League of Legends roster expands with Bard, the Wandering Caretaker

League of Legends Summoners have a new champion to call on.

Riot Games has introduced Bard, the Wandering Caretaker, to its phenomenally popular MOBA.

According to the new champion's reveal page, Bard "dwells beyond the physical universe in realms unknown to man" and manifests only "when others threaten the cosmic equilibrium". He's the first support Champion who grows in power just by moving around, and can open long range portals and provide health packs.

His passive ability is called Traveler’s Call. Ancient Chimes causes sacred chimes to appear on the battlefield, which grant Bard a speed, experience and mana boost. Meeps summons small creatures to aid in Bard's attacks, which get more powerful as he collects more chimes.
