As Microsoft continues to u-turn on its policies, the company has confirmed it no longer requires a Gold subscription for services including Netflix and Hulu.

Although movie-streaming and sports apps on the Xbox One require a subscription or others costs, Microsoft had until today insisted users also pay for an Xbox Live Gold subscription on top to access them.

But no more. Machinima, Twitch, Upload, Netflix, Univision Deportes, GoPro, Redbull, HBO Go, the NFL app for Xbox One,, NBA Game Time and NHL Game Center no longer require the additional charge.
