Former NCSoft Europe COO Sebastien Vidal and Haxe programming language creator Nicolas Cannasse have formed and independent studio in Bordeaux, France called Shiro Games. The studio will focus on developing online PC and tablet gaming titles. Shiro is currently working on two projects: Evoland HD, an enhanced version of Ludum Dare competition winner Evoland by Cannasse; and codename Project Z, which is a cooperative online action adventure game releasing in Q4 2013.
