Dragon Quest Wii U to be announced at Tokyo Game Show

Here’s something we missed while scouting Square Enix’s Tokyo Game Show lineup earlier; a stage event introducing Dragon Quest X on Wii U.

Nothing’s been revealed about the Wii U version of DQX besides the fact that it’s in development. The special screening during Tokyo Game Show 2012 will give the world its first glimpse at the game and what’s in store for Wii U players.

The stage event is also going to detail the upcoming October update for the game.

The first MMO in the venerable series, Dragon Quest X is available on Wii in Japan and is doing fairly well if the “oh no it’s two in the morning” Tweets from our Japanese colleagues are anything to go by.

Thanks, Andriasang.
