Dragon Quest X expansion pack announced for release in Japan

Square Enix has announced an expansion pack for its MMORPG, Dragon Quest X carrying the interim subtitle "The Sleeping Hero and the Guiding Sworn Friend."

Famitsu is reporting that the expansion will be released in Japan on Wii U, Wii and PC, with no date as of yet.

There's also no word yet on a western release, and Square Enix has yet to deliver on its promise to bring the original game beyond Japanese borders. A PC version of the original is still on track for a release in Japan September 26.

The publisher will be showing the game at this year's TGS, where details are expected to be revealed.
