GAME Australia administrators considering expressions of interest

Pricewaterhouse Coopers has received offers for GAME Australia, which went into voluntary administration last week.

"Despite the very challenging circumstances facing the retail sector, we have received various expressions of interest for parts of the business, including a number of parties expressing interest in the business as a going concern," administrator Kate Warwick told Gamespot.

The accountancy firm has not yet given up on the possibility of GAME Australia's continued operation.

"We are currently exploring the possibility of achieving a continuity of the business as a going concern with the company's many landlords, who appear pivotal to any continuation," Warwick explained.

A decision regarding the third-party offers is expected over the next few days, ahead of a meeting with GAME's creditors in June.

GAME stores continue to operate as normal during the administration process, but have experienced some stock issues.
