Rumour – First Thief 4 trailer complete

By Brenna Hillier, Wednesday, 22 February 2012 21:39 GMT

In the absence of any hard news about Thief 4, we present to you this possible evidence of news soon to occur.

Superannuation has turned up three references to a “photorealistic, high quality game trailer” with “motion capture, body/facial animation and fingers animation” for the much-anticipated and almost entirely unrevealed title.

Each of the résumés has later work listed, suggesting the trailer has been complete for some time; we may see a reveal at the next big gaming event.

Thief 4 is in the works at Eidos Montreal, the team behind Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and is believed to use Unreal 3 and have online play.

One screen and what is suspected to be part of the game’s storyboards have turned up online.

Thief is a historical stealth series considered one of the great classics of the 1990s.
