Research - Cheating in games is infectious and unpopular

A new University of Tampa paper examines the results of a study into the Steam community and found that those who cheat in games tend to pass the habit along to others. Researchers checked out the 700,000 cheaters among Steam's 12 million members, as well detailed activity of 10,000 volunteer accounts, and found cheaters rapidly lose non-cheating friends, but friends of cheaters end up cheating themselves.
