Team Meat "patches up" Microsoft spat, Meat Boy sale incoming

Having said that Team Meat was "taken advantage of" by Microsoft in the run-up to the launch of Super Meat Boy, developer Edmund McMillen has confirmed that, after a spate of hugging and kissing between the two parties, the ultra-hard platformer is about to be re-pimped on XBLA.

Said McMillen on the game's blog: "Super Meat Boy will get a sale on XBLA next month! We dont have a set date yet, but we have been talking to MS, patched things up and are going to be putting SMB on sale on XBLA next month along with a free update that will add tons of new levels to Teh Internets.

He added: "It's a new year and we are putting the past behind us and all agreeing to do what is best for SMB and the fans."

McMillen had previously said that he felt "confused" about working with Microsoft, after Super Meat Boy was left out of Microsoft's Game Feast promotion over pricing issues.

The game released in October last year, and was later followed by a PC version.
