GAME and Gamestation selling digital PS3 titles

Following last month's introduction of digital PC content in store, the bricks and mortar UK high street chain is to start selling digital first-party PS3 releases as of today.

The UK's biggest specialist games retailer will start selling digital versions of first-party Sony releases such as God of War Collection and Killzone Steel Rain Map Pack as of today.

An initial roll-out to 42 GAME and Gamestation stores will be followed by a larger scale roll-out to all 620 stores in September.

"This is a significant step forward in our digital strategy. For the first time, gamers will be able to browse a wide range of digital titles for the PlayStation Network in our stores, alongside a variety of other digital and physical products," announced GAME CEO, Ian Shepherd.

"The partnership reflects the close and long standing relationship between GAME and SCEE across Europe as both companies move rapidly to innovate and bring new products and services to customers."
