US PS movie store update: Star Trek, Father Ted, Ancient Aliens, Event Horizon, Liz Taylor

In honor of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy turning 80, Sony is putting science fiction offerings on sale as the Deal of the Week.

These deals include the original Star Trek films as well as the disturbingly awesome Event Horizon, Galaxy Quest, Starship Troopers and Trekkies. There's also the Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner available.

Unfortunately, Jersey Shore is also on sale, and unsurprisingly, it was the most popular TV show last week in downloads on PSN. We're ashamed of our American brethren over this, to be honest.

Despicable Me and My Soul to Take are available this week in 3D, and in a homage to the lovely Elizabeth Taylor, users can download Cleopatra and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.

Other new movies this week include: The Tourist, Yogi Bear, How Do You Know, Meskada, Siren, Adventures of a Teenage Dragonslayer, ATTACK: Los Angeles, Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard, Arthur and the Invisibles 3: Arthur and the War of Two Worlds, Every Day, Freestyle, and more.

New TV shows include: Father Ted Seasons 1 & 2, Bikini Destinations: Season 4, Border Wars: Season 2, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: Season 1, Ancient Aliens: Seasons 1 & 2, Aquarion: Season 1, Wizards of Waverly Place: Season 1, Trailer Park Boys: Season 7, and more.
