NBA 2K11 patching in 3D support

The US PS Blog posts that PlayStation 3 owners will be able to download a title update for NBA 2K11 this weekend enabling stereoscopic 3D.

Can you imagine? Sweat droplets arcing out of the screen towards your face! Just like really being there, but less gross.

2K is pretty excited about the whole 3D thing and after waxing lyrical on the delights of 120hz full HD stereoscopy, confirmed the game will also support anaglyph – meaning you can crack out your red-and-blue visor if you haven’t got one of these fancy-pants shutter glasses sets on hand.

Assuming you’re fully equipped one way or another, load up NBA 2K11 on January 16 to patch in the glorious third dimension.

The title update reportedly does a little extra fiddling on the side, presumably bug fixes and minor balancing.
