Katamari Damacy lands on PSN as a PS2 Classic next week
Katamari Damacy will be released as a PS2 Classic through PSN next week. Expect it to be made available with the PS Store update on April 30 for PS3. We’ll ask about Europe. Thanks, Joystiq.

Katamari ShiftyLook kicks off September 17
The next digital comics release from Namco Bandai’s ShiftyLook series will focus on Katamari Damacy. Destructoid reports the series is being penned by Alex Culang and Raynato Castro, better known as the team behind webcomic Buttersafe (one of my favourites). The new series debuts on September 17 and will update on Mondays and Wednesdays. Stay tuned to ShiftyLook for updates.

Katamari Damacy shots look very, very pwetty
Namco Bandai’s dropped new shots of Katamari Damacy, showing the mindbogging puzzler in action for Vita. Its also detailed how players will be able to get hold of two downloadable levels. Collect fan souls – ten to be more specific – and you’ll get access to one level. If you don’t have the time to do that, you can buy a certain number of fan souls. Get one for ¥50, three for ¥130 and five for ¥200.

We knew there was a new Katamari Damacy rolling towards the PlayStation Vita, but now, Namco Bandai has given us a sneaky peek of what’s in store, with a bunch of screens, a pile of details and one very dizzy trailer.

Namco Bandai at TGS – Vita, 3DS, Soulcalibur V
Famitsu already spoiled some of the big announcements to come out of the Namco Bandai pre-TGS press conference, but there were still some details to be chewed over and enjoyed. Expect big things for the PlayStation Vita launch lineup, Tekken, Ace Combat, Katamari Damacy and – of course, Soulcalibur V.

Keita Takahashi “not involved” with Katamari Damacy Tribute

Namco Bandai has confirmed that Keita Takahashi is “not involved” with Katamari Damacy Tribute, the classic puzzler’s upcoming PS3 version announced last week.
The company has assured Eurogamer that despite the original creator not being attached, it’s still “in good hands”.

New Noby Noby Boy trailer is bizarre
Below is a some rather strange looking gameplay from Katamari Damacy developer Keita Takahashi’s PSN game, Noby Noby Boy.
See it stretch and take out a car. See it bump into little girls and eat the love hearts that flow from the collision, see… well, see for yourselves.
Noby Noby Boy releases in Japan on Jan 4 and will cost ¥800 ($9). Europe and expect it a little later.
