Activision seeking $400 million in damages from West, Zampella, and EA as Black Ops exceeds $1 billion in sales
Activision has put a hefty $400 million price tag on the amount of damages it’s seeking from not only Jason West and Vince Zampella for breach of contract, but EA as well for supposedly luring the duo away from the company.

EA: Respawn’s game is a ways off
EA Partners boss David DeMartini has said it’ll be a while before we can expect anything from Respawn.
In fact, the developer’s debut is further off than what Insomniac are working on for the publisher.

EA: Respawn’s skipping E3 this year
What’s wrong with this picture: Weeks ago, Jason West and Vince Zampella barely had enough employees to throw together a TI-83 calculator sidescrolling version of Modern Warfare, and now they’re blowing the lid off a brand new blockbuster game?
The answer: everything. Which makes sense, because none of it’s true.

Eight ex-Infinity Ward staff join Respawn Entertainment [Update]
Update 2: Apparently, the number has risen to eight, according to G4. Lead software engineer, Francesco Gigliotti, updated his Linkedin profile overnight to reflect his new position with Respawn. The title of this post has been changed to reflect the update.
Update 1: The number is now at seven. Programmer Jon Shirling and lead designer Mackey McCandlish have now joined up.
Original: Like we never seen this coming. Five people who recently left Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward have now joined up with its ex-bosses Vince Zampella and Jason West over at Respawn Entertainment.
