A Star Wars: Battlefront 3 live stream on Twitch just ended, apparently, courtesy of Past to Present Online, which specializes in “specializes in the coverage and streaming of pre-release games, betas, and cancelled projects,” according to Game Informer.

Star War: Battlefront 3 was ‘mediocre’, 99% complete claim is ‘bullshit’, says source
Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was a mediocre game that was around 75% complete when it was binned, an anonymous ex-LucasArts employee has revealed, stating that the game was canned as developer Free Radical “Continually missed dates and deliveries.” The statement follows claims from Free Radical co-founder Steve Ellis that the game was 99% complete and was binned for financial reasons. Timesplitters fans campaign for 100,000 Likes
Following on from Crytek boss Cevat Yerli’s comments to press and Twitter followers about the uncertainty of demand for a new Timesplitters game, fans have launched a Facebook campaign to gather 100,000 demandees. That Yerli himself asked for a demonstration lends some hope that this effort won’t go the way of Operation Rainfall. The Timesplitters series ran to three core releases, and was the product of Free Radical, now Crytek UK.

Ex-Free Radical and Rare developers form iOS studio Crash Lab
Ex-Free Radical and Rare designers have formed a new iOS studio called Crash Lab. Consisting of Free Radical Design’s Steve Ellis and Rare’s Martin Wakeley and Lee Musgrave, the studio was formed in November and three iOS games are currently in the works. Twist Pilot and Flying Rocket Defence are two of the titles. The UK firm also announced it has formed “partnerships with a diverse range of companies.” Thanks, Gamasutra.

New Star Wars: Battlefront III alpha footage hits YouTube
Someone’s posted up a fresh video of gameplay from Free Radical’s Star Wars: Battlefront III. It’s shot off-screen from a 2008 build. Free Radical went bust over Christmas 2008 and was eventually picked up by Crytek.
