BioShock Infinite box art features DeWitt prominently
2K has sent over the box art for BioShock Infinite featuring protagonist Booker DeWitt. It looks the same for all three formats, except for the PS3 version, which contains Move and original BioShock logos – both of which were announced for the game in March 2012. Irrational’s Ken Levine said on Twitter he’d have “something to show” regarding Elizabeth on the back of the box, “the tv ad, and the key art soon.” Enjoy the box art below. Game’s out on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 February 26, 2013.

BioShock Vita listed for September release
‘Allo allo allo, what’s all this then? Zavvi has only gone and whacked a September 7 release date on the BioShock game for Vita. The project – which will be a stand alone game, not a port – has gone largely unrevealed, and last we heard, was pretty much on hold while Irrational focuses on October’s BioShock: Infinite – so the date doesn’t seem terribly likely. That said, video game companies sometimes tell lies to make things more fun for everyone. I know right. I was shocked too. We’ve asked 2K what’s up.
Thanks, Robbins.

Third BioShock Infinite video introduces the Boys of Silence
2K’s released the third and penultimate video for BioShock Infinite’s heavy hitters series, this time taking on the Boys of Silence. There’s not a great shown compared to past videos, but the enemy is detailed in it. It’s also very creepy from the outset. Sold.
The Irrational shooter’s out on October 19 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC.

Quick Quotes: Move is “best suited to a first-person shooter”, says Levine
“We’ve got the Move controls working now back at the studio, certainly more so than we had when we announced it at E3, and really we’re just waiting for the opportunity to show that with a new piece of content. It’s working well but we still have a lot of polishing to do. Of all the motion controllers in the world, the Move is the one best suited to a first-person shooter, and a lot of PlayStation games have done a great job incorporating it. I will say that we’re discovering some great opportunities with the Skyline gameplay, but rather than show it to people with an old demo, I’d prefer to show it with a new piece of content.” – Irrational’s Ken Levine to the PS Blog on how the Move controls in Infinite are coming along.

Quick Quotes: Ken Levine on creating antagonists
“When I was working on Andrew Ryan, the two things that were most formative to me were reading [Ayn] Rand, and then I watched a documentary about Joseph Goebbels. It wasn’t his evil that struck me, it was the fact that he felt like such a victim. Even though he’s obviously a villain, in his mind, he wasn’t. Everybody’s the hero of their own story; if you can’t find something that makes them great, you don’t have a tragic character. These [are] characters that struggle between their view of the world and their realities of the world. There’s that dissonance that turns them into an antagonist for the player. It’s not just because they want to be.” – Irrational’s Ken Levine on creating villains to Gamasutra.
