Atari releases teaser for the Ataribox, "a brand new" product "years in the making"

We may not know what this is, but it's happening.
I don't know what game of silly buggers Atari is playing, but here's the first round.
This video popped up on ataribox.com and is the first look at a brand new product from Atari.
For the skeptics amongst you, The Verge reached out to an Atari representative who confirmed that this is a real thing that is Atari is directly involved in - as opposed to a third party who has licensed the name.
They're not working on the project solo; an unnamed partner is also involved.
It could be that this is going to be something like the Flashback consoles, that came pre-loaded with a bunch of games. Otherwise, they've truly lost their minds.
