The Division: lag reports pile up after latest hotfix

The Division players are reporting serious lag issues affecting gameplay. It started yesterday, but some believe the problem has gotten worse since this morning's hotfix.

Many are blaming exploiters using the Competent and unlimited credits glitches, causing slowdown and a simulated DDos effect on the game servers.

"Its extremely unplayable," wrote INMATEofARKHAM on the official Ubisoft forums.

"I just got through a hard mission in 15 minutes that should have taken 5. I had to wait like 5 minutes for one check point to clear as the game couldn't figure out what was going on. The enemies were all dead."

"I fire but no hits register, wait a couple seconds then a blur of damage indicators and the mob drops," wrote hexmare on Reddit, in a thread full of numerous reports. "Kinda funny actually. But at least they are trying to fix things. For those that stick around it's gonna suck until it gets better".

"It's completely fucked," said no3y3h4nd. "Shots registering like 3 to 5 seconds after they were fired. NPCs warping everywhere and then freezing for seconds at a time."

Ubisoft community manager Natchai has said the development team is aware of the problem and currently looking into it.

The Division is currently plagued with performance and exploit issues, as players rush to farm items and reach the highest Gear Score.
