Homefront: The Revolution - here's how you'll take back Philadelphia

In the Hearts and Minds 101 featurette posted below, you'll learn how actions performed in the red, yellow and green zones of the open world will affect the revolution's progress.

Through Hearts and Minds, the player’s actions have a direct effect on the world and can inspire the player's countrymen to rise up against the oppressors.

Along with the new trailer, Deep Silver has announced a Homefront community incentive called the Merits Program.

Those who sign up through the game's official website will be tasks with completing mission on the website. Each provides the user with background into the lore and earns them Combat Gear from the Red Rebel set to use in-game to customize their co-op character in Resistance Mode.

Once merits are achieved, players will see the associated in-game Combat Gear unlock by linking their Homefront profile to their Xbox Live, PSN or Steam account. Seven merits are currently available at the launch of this program, with more to come between now and the game's release date.

Homefront: The Revolution will be released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 17.
