The Witcher franchise has sold 20 million copies worldwide

The Witcher franchise has sold 20 million copies worldwide according to the latest figures from CD Projket.

The figure, which includes The Witcher, The Witcher 2: Assassin's of King and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, was presented by CD Projekt RED in its latest financial report (PDF).

Included in the report were digital and physical sales percentages for The Witcher 3.

If you look at slide two posted below, you will see 68.4% of The Witcher 3 sales came from physical copies compared to 31.6% in the digital market.

The slide also notes physical copies of the game contributed 49.8% to total game revenue while digital sales made up 50.2% of The Witcher 3 revenues.

CDP also revealed in it financial report it has something new in the works set for release this year in a format " previously unexplored by the studio."

It also has another triple-A game in the works set for release sometime between 2017 and 2021, in addition to Cyberpunk 2077.
