The Division - how to complete the activation of your agent when the game bugs out
If you can't complete your agent activation at the start of The Division, this workaround should get you going.
Moments after you start The Division, right after you create your character, you have to go to a safe house to activate your agent. This basically means you have to hold Square or X on a laptop.
This step is necessary, and you can't progress further in the game without doing it. However, for a lot of players, holding X or Square repeatedly doesn't do anything.
The solution to this issue, as this video from YouTube user JoypadAndMe shows, is very simple.
All you need to do is press the Options button PS4 (or Menu on Xbox One), then log out. You do this by pressing Triangle or Y. Now log back in, and you should be able to activate your agent.
