Next Destiny update will fix Oryx's "totally OP" teleporting ogres

Destiny: The Taken King's most frustrating foes will be put down when patch 2.1.1 rolls out next week.

Although this week's Bungie update was was mostly focused on PvP changes, there were a few notes about the King's Fall raid. The most satisfying of these is that Bungie has fixed the teleporting ogres that make the final encounter pretty tricky - especially in Challenge Mode.

"We thought teleporting ogres in the Oryx encounter were totally OP, so we nerfed them into the ground," lead designer Gavin Irby said in this week's Bungie update.

That's a joke, of course. The real explanation for the ogres' annoying behaviour is that bombs were interfering with pathfinding, and the teleport was how the AI got around the problem.

There will be one other change to King's Fall - a fix for the camera issue that occurs when serving as the runner during the Daughters of Oryx battle.

The patch rolls out on February 9 alongside the Crimson Days 2v2 PvP event.
