The Game Awards will almost certainly return in December 2016.

This year's December announce-o-rama went off quite well, apparently.

The Game Awards 2015 pulled 2.3 million viewers, host Geoff Keighley told Polygon, which is a 20% increase on last year's effort.

"I feel pretty confident we will be back next December for The Game Awards 2016," he said.

Keighley told the site he "believes" the show broke even this year, and he has bigger plans for next time - an eSports tournament on the day, for example.
