Man blames PlayStation for shoddy driving after causing thousands of pounds in damage

After leading police on a 100 mph chase, Adam Jones admitted to never having had a driving test. He learned to drive on his PlayStation.

I hate stories like this - mostly because they make everyone involved look ridiculous.

Jones sped through Grantham, pursued by police, yet was only apprehended after driving over a spike strip on the way back to his girlfriend's house. If he learned to drive using his PlayStation, I can only assume the fuzz cut their teeth on the NES.

In court, Jones was admonished. "You said you 'Only learnt to drive on a Playstation game.' You were driving like a Playstation game. You drove as fast as you could as if in a video or playstation game without any care for those around you."

That was a "video or PlayStation game". I don't know where to begin on Jones' statement or this little tit bit.

I assume he has a sweet setup at home, because he'd never have gotten past the driveway if all he had was a controller. Even then, I'd still think that this guy is talking absolute bollocks.

Is there anything you've learnt to do in a videogame? Have you become a pro chef with the help of Cooking Mama? Perhaps you're a high-end gigolo thanks to the button-mashing and analogue stick twirling finesse you refined in God of War? Let us know in the comments.
