You are the last human head on earth in Double Fine's new game Headlander

Double Fine Productions has announced its new game, which puts players in control of the "last human head" on earth.

Adult Swim games is the publisher of Headlander, which is rather fitting considering its penchant for zany.

The setting for the side-scrolling, action-adventure game is based on 70’s science fiction. At some point in earth's history, humans transferred their "minds into robotic bodies."

The world is run by a "deranged" computer, and as the last human head in existence, the player will seek clues to their "fractured past". A special helmet allows the head to dock into and control any robotic host body located within the space-station.

IGN has a preview providing more details, or you can visit the official website.

Headlander will be released on PC and consoles in 2016.
